Meeting of Minds 4
Meeting of Minds is a conference which brings together researchers, professionals, people with autism spectrum disorders and their families to explore the most updated knowledge and experience in the field of autism.
Meeting of Minds brings both research and practice into focus and thus provides for researchers, parents, teachers and people with autism or Asperger Syndrome the opportunity to meet and exchange knowledge and render it accessible to other researchers and professionals to the benefit of people with autism.
Meeting of Minds will again in 2013 be organized in co-operation between The Danish National Board of Social Services, Samrådet af Specialskoler for børn med Autisme (The Danish Joint Council of Special Schools for Children with Autism) and Landsforeningen Autisme (The Danish National Society for People with Autism).
Meeting of Minds 4 is entitled Intervention and Evaluation – in a Life Span, and the focus will be on the effects of intervention at all stages of life, experiences with methods of evaluation and the interaction between biological processes and social interaction.
The very first Meeting of Minds conference dealing with autism and related disorders took place in Copenhagen in 2003. It is the vision of the organizers to promote knowledge based on research and create an ambiance furthering interchange of knowledge between researchers and professionals working within the field of autism and related disorders. 450 participants from 13 different countries took part in the latest conference in Herning in 2009.
We look very much forward to meeting you in Copenhagen in January 2013.
